Yes, choosing beautiful fabrics, furniture, art, and accessories definitely has its moments. BUT, to have the lovely end result, you have to go through some less-than glitzy stages. It can be dusty, dirty, cold, and wet on construction sites. I have a hardhat in my car permanently as I am onsite with my projects so frequently, and these visits demand a different type of wardrobe: jeans and boots at this time of year are the order of the day. There's a lot of myths around inspiration, but the There's a lot of myths around inspiration, but the reality is that all you really need to do is tune in to what makes YOU excited and happy. I love being underwater, and I have been a scuba diver practically all of my adult life. Some of my happiest times are when I am diving, communing with beautiful sea creatures and gazing in awe at the colours of coral reefs. Equally, I love to spend time in nature above the waves, and Mallorca's countryside is a constant source of bliss for me. I am known for my use of colour, but all you have to do is look out of the window to see the fabulous shades of the Mediterranean. When you have systems, you can start to work professionally and efficiently. Your clients will love you, and you will be in control of the process. And, in fact, within a stone's throw of this very project! It's in Gran Folies in Cala Llamp, which is in the southwest of the island. The owners asked me to redecorate and furnish their luxury apartment with a calm and neutral décor and a classical feel. My interpretation of this was to blend natural and contemporary materials: glass and chrome. wicker, wood, aqua, and sand tones with pops of colour from Missoni.
