I know these questions because I’ve had to answer them myself. I’ve been running a creative business for almost 30 years. I’ve got things wrong. I’ve learnt about clients, money, boundaries, confidence, positioning and the importance of knowing what you do well and what you absolutely do not want to do. And one of the things giving me enormous satisfaction now is being able to pass some of that knowledge on! My “Design for Joy: Studio Sessions” are my one-to-one mentoring sessions for creative people who want to build a better business around the thing they are already brilliant at. You might be an interior designer, an artist, a home stager or working in a completely different creative field. You don’t need me to teach you how to be creative. But perhaps you do need someone experienced to sit across the table from you, ask the questions you’ve been avoiding, look at what you’re doing with a fresh pair of eyes and help you work out what needs to change. I’m not interested in turning you into a version of me. I want to help you become more confident about YOU, your work, your value and the business you want to build. And I’m discovering that watching another creative person have that moment when something suddenly clicks is one of the most rewarding things I get to do. So let me ask you one more uncomfortable question. What do you already know needs to change in your business, but you keep putting off? This Puerto Pollensa property was much more than a This Puerto Pollensa property was much more than an interior styling project. It was a complete renovation, created over three years in close collaboration with the owners, architects, quantity surveyor and building team. I was involved throughout, from the layouts, lighting, electrics and plumbing to the flooring, wall colours, windows, doors, kitchens, bathrooms, bespoke furniture, fabrics and finishing details. The result is a relaxed and elegant family holiday home that makes the most of its extraordinary views across Pollensa Bay. Soft sandy tones, blues inspired by the sea, natural woods, subtle metallic finishes and carefully commissioned artwork create a sense of continuity throughout the property, while giving each room its own character. For me, full-service interior design means looking beyond individual rooms. It is about understanding how the entire home should flow, function and feel, then making sure every decision contributes to that vision. I specialise in full-service interior design, property renovations and holiday homes across the island, combining practical Mediterranean living with colour, pattern and personality.
This entrance hall didn’t need rebuilding. It need This entrance hall didn’t need rebuilding. It needed reimagining. We replaced the dark floor tiles with a lighter stone used throughout the property, painted the timber, enclosed the upper staircase to create a cleaner architectural line and exchanged the heavy wooden balustrade for a simple iron railing. The result is a brighter, more spacious entrance that feels effortlessly contemporary while still respecting the character of the original home. The walls were deliberately left uncluttered, creating a gallery-like backdrop where the client’s art collection could become the focal point. Good design isn’t always about adding more.
