If you receive my newsletter then you will already If you receive my newsletter then you will already have seen this, but if you’re in Palma this winter, set aside an hour to visit "La força inicial", the free exhibition of Joan Miró’s bronze sculptures at La Llotja.

The gothic halls of this historic building give the works an almost mythical presence. Miró’s forms feel timeless: part nature, part dream, part quietly powerful imagination. Pieces such as Oiseau lunaire and Maternité carry a sense of both gravity and play, as if shaped by the island itself.

Miró (1893–1983) was one of the great artists of the 20th century, known for his vivid colours, organic shapes and poetic symbolism. Though born in Barcelona, Mallorca became his creative home. His mother was Mallorcan, and in 1956 he settled permanently in Palma, building a studio where he worked for nearly three decades. The island’s light, sea, and open space shaped his later work. He spoke of Mallorca as fertile ground for the imagination (I know that feeling!) a place where he could work freely and without interruption. Today his studios and thousands of artworks are preserved at the Fundació Miró Mallorca.

A very happy birthday to Marisa, my right-hand wom A very happy birthday to Marisa, my right-hand woman in the business, and my beautiful daughter outside of it. Here's to many more adventures, projects and fun times together! XXX
It’s been more than a decade since I first desig It’s been more than a decade since I first designed Villa Bendinat in Ses Oliveras, and this year, I had the joy of returning to give it a fresh new chapter.

The original interiors were created for the first generation of the family: bold, playful, and full of colour. Now, a second generation has taken the reins, with a third already running around! So the brief was simple, to keep the villa’s personality, but make it a little softer and more family-friendly.

We’ve lightened and calmed some of the spaces, added painted furniture, new wallpapers, softer lighting and touches of warmth, all while keeping those iconic Missoni curtains and cushions that still make my heart sing. Bedrooms have been reimagined with bunk beds and storage for little ones, guest rooms refreshed with new tones and textures, and bathrooms given a modern update.

The outdoor areas now invite everyone to relax together: more seating, soft rugs, playful details, and plenty of space to live, laugh and lounge.

Designing a home that evolves with the people who live in it is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Villa Bendinat is proof that great design can adapt beautifully without losing its soul.

Guest bedroom ideas for your winter guests 🕯️ Guest bedroom ideas for your winter guests 🕯️

Hosting friends or family this Christmas? Create a space they’ll love to stay in. Layered textures, soft throws and ambient lighting set the tone for a warm winter welcome.

This guest room combines elegance and playfulness. The palm-leaf wall covering, gold accents and original toucan lamps add a touch of jungle luxe that feels indulgent yet inviting.

Small details make the difference. A candle, a soft throw and a carafe of water are simple touches that say welcome home.

Style tip: keep it calm and cohesive with rich tones and one striking focal wall.

Back to the Palma project today. First impressions Back to the Palma project today. First impressions count and a splash of orange can do a lot to put a smile on your face when you walk through the front door!

And riddle me this, why would a property developer think adding lighting in to a property wouldn’t be a fundamental? There’s always surprises in my interior designer and renovation world!

Hope you enjoy a quick peak inside this lovely apartment in Mallorca.
