I’ve just started a new series on YouTube telling the Behind The Scenes stories about my interior design projects… Hope you find it interesting and helpful if you are also embarking on a build or renovation in Spain or you just enjoy watching the design process!

Our business connections for @knox_mallorca and my design and reform work (some of which that go back decades) are vital to the success of projects on an island like Mallorca and it’s always a pleasure to see old friends and make new ones!
Project Update This coastal home in Bendinat, Mall Project Update
This coastal home in Bendinat, Mallorca, was originally redesigned by me more than ten years ago.

Since then, the family has grown, children have become adults, and the way the house is used has naturally changed. The brief this time was not to reinvent the home, but to evolve it.

The new generation wanted spaces that worked harder for modern family life, without losing the relaxed, joyful feeling that made the house special in the first place. Bedrooms needed to sleep more people comfortably, shared spaces had to support bigger gatherings, and the terrace had to feel as inviting as the interiors.

This project is a great example of how good design should grow with you. A home does not need to be constantly replaced, it needs to be thoughtfully adapted as life moves on.

You can see the YouTube video we made to show you around In my link in bio.

I recently returned to a coastal townhouse in Bendinat that I first redesigned more than a decade ago. The family asked me to refresh the space for the next generation, keeping the spirit of the original home while giving it new life. I used colour drenching to bring warmth and depth, re-upholstered much-loved pieces, and wove their favourite Missoni curtains into the updated scheme.

It feels renewed without losing any of its story. Hit the link in bio to read more and see more of the photos. If your Mallorca home needs a thoughtful refresh, get in touch and let my team and I help you bring it to life.

If you receive my newsletter then you will already If you receive my newsletter then you will already have seen this, but if you’re in Palma this winter, set aside an hour to visit "La força inicial", the free exhibition of Joan Miró’s bronze sculptures at La Llotja.

The gothic halls of this historic building give the works an almost mythical presence. Miró’s forms feel timeless: part nature, part dream, part quietly powerful imagination. Pieces such as Oiseau lunaire and Maternité carry a sense of both gravity and play, as if shaped by the island itself.

Miró (1893–1983) was one of the great artists of the 20th century, known for his vivid colours, organic shapes and poetic symbolism. Though born in Barcelona, Mallorca became his creative home. His mother was Mallorcan, and in 1956 he settled permanently in Palma, building a studio where he worked for nearly three decades. The island’s light, sea, and open space shaped his later work. He spoke of Mallorca as fertile ground for the imagination (I know that feeling!) a place where he could work freely and without interruption. Today his studios and thousands of artworks are preserved at the Fundació Miró Mallorca.
