Happy New Year, and a very warm welcome to everyon Happy New Year, and a very warm welcome to everyone who has joined me on here recently. It feels like a good moment to reintroduce myself and share a little more about what I do. I’m Justine, founder of Knox Design. We are based here in Mallorca, where I design homes that feel joyful, considered and deeply personal. My work is rooted in colour, texture and warmth, creating spaces that are relaxed, liveable and full of character, and designed to make you SMILE when you get home! My business works across interior design and project coordination, offering an end to end service that supports clients from early ideas through to completion. Whether it’s a full renovation, a family home refresh, or a new chapter for an existing space, each project is carefully tailored to the people who live there and how they want to feel in their home. This year, I have several exciting projects underway, including new renovations and creative collaborations that I am really looking forward to sharing with you. As this year comes to a close, the word that keeps As this year comes to a close, the word that keeps returning for me is connection. Not in a loud or performative way, but in quieter moments. Time with my children away from daily noise. Continued closeness with Bruce. Reconnecting with my parents during a milestone anniversary year, and reflecting on the life they have built together. Professionally, connection showed up through long-standing client relationships deepening rather than expanding outward. Less chasing, more trust. Less volume, more alignment. It has been a reminder that what sustains us is often subtle, but incredibly powerful. What are your reflections on 2025? I’d love to know.

It’s the season for Christmas lunches! I had a l It’s the season for Christmas lunches! I had a lovely time yesterday catching up with design and construction colleagues from the @mallorcadesigndistrict and enjoying a delicious Italian lunch at @tintorera_mallorca Our business connections for @knox_mallorca and my design and reform work (some of which that go back decades) are vital to the success of projects on an island like Mallorca and it’s always a pleasure to see old friends and make new ones!
Project Update This coastal home in Bendinat, Mall Project Update This coastal home in Bendinat, Mallorca, was originally redesigned by me more than ten years ago. Since then, the family has grown, children have become adults, and the way the house is used has naturally changed. The brief this time was not to reinvent the home, but to evolve it. The new generation wanted spaces that worked harder for modern family life, without losing the relaxed, joyful feeling that made the house special in the first place. Bedrooms needed to sleep more people comfortably, shared spaces had to support bigger gatherings, and the terrace had to feel as inviting as the interiors. This project is a great example of how good design should grow with you. A home does not need to be constantly replaced, it needs to be thoughtfully adapted as life moves on.
