A beautiful marina view is a lovely starting point

A beautiful marina view is a lovely starting point. But there’s plenty to think about inside, too.

For Project Marina, my brief was to transform a three-bedroom Mallorca apartment into a home that future buyers could imagine themselves enjoying from day one.

I combined antique and contemporary furniture, soft greens, warm bronze finishes and bespoke carpentry to give it comfort and character. The entrance wall treatment adds a little surprise, while fabrics, lighting and finishing touches bring the rooms together.

Come and have a look around with me. This is the part I love, seeing all those individual decisions become a home.

When buyers have viewed several properties, what makes them remember yours?

When I design for a developer, I’m thinking about people I haven’t met yet. The home needs to appeal to different buyers, but it still needs personality.

For Project Marina, that meant transforming a tired three-bedroom apartment into a home where prospective owners could imagine enjoying life in Mallorca.

Some decisions catch your eye: the entrance mural, the wallpapers, the combination of antique and contemporary furniture. Others become clear when you picture staying here: somewhere to store your suitcases, guest beds that adapt to whoever is visiting, and outdoor chairs comfortable enough for a very long lunch.

Each detail helps buyers understand how the apartment could work for them. Together, they create a distinctive home with space for its next owners to make it their own.

Swipe through for a closer look at the thinking behind Project Marina.

Happy Birthday to Marisa!

Not only am I lucky enough to have her as my daughter, but I also get to work alongside her every day.

Working together as a family isn’t always without its challenges (as I’m sure anyone in a family business will tell you!), but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Marisa brings so much energy, laughter, creativity and love to Knox, and I’m incredibly proud of the woman she is and everything she does.

Love you lots! ❤️

So you’ve bought a home in Mallorca, but you live

So you’ve bought a home in Mallorca, but you live in another country. Where do you even start?

Here’s how we can work together, even when you’re miles away:

1️⃣ A questionnaire all about your home and what you’d love to change
2️⃣ A discovery call (I prefer Zoom, so we can meet face to face)
3️⃣ A consultation visit. No need to fly over: a key holder can let me in, or some clients simply post me their keys!
4️⃣ We agree a budget you’re both happy with
5️⃣ Your itemised plan and digital mood boards
6️⃣ Weekly progress videos while the work happens
7️⃣ And then the best bit… the reveal, when you walk through the door and it’s all finished for you

If you’re a busy professional who’d rather I just got on with it, that’s absolutely fine. You can trust me. Always up for the challenge!

No need to be here whilst the work is happening, no stress and no hassle….Just a home that feels like YOU.

What have you always wanted space for at home? So

What have you always wanted space for at home?

Somewhere to watch a film without negotiating over the remote? Or enough room to roll out your yoga mat without moving the coffee table? Or would you love to have a dedicated space to write that novel that has been percolating inside of you for years?

When the children leave, an underused bedroom might give you that opportunity.
For a home cinema, start with comfortable seating, effective blackout curtains and the position of the screen. A sofa bed could also keep the room useful when the children come back, provided there’s space to open it.

For exercise, resist buying equipment before you’ve measured the room. Clear floor space, ventilation and suitable mats matter first, especially with Mallorca’s summer heat and tiled floors.

Think about what you’ll actually use. If you love yoga, make room for yoga. If your idea of a perfect evening involves a film and your feet up, choose the sofa!
Talk any changes through with your children, then give your own wish list some attention.

Which would you choose: writing desk, cinema or gym?
